Swimming at Grandpa's

We have been taking a lot of lazy days at the pool this summer. The boys swim with floaties, which may hurt us in the long run but for now we're enjoying our pool time just the way it is :) We always pack a lunch to eat outside and the boys get to have a juice box too! At the end of our two hours the boys are ready for a long nap...perfect recipe if you ask me!

Luna

Yes, we got a puppy. Her name is Luna. She was a handful at first but she is settling in nicely now. The boys love her and are learning valuable lessons along the way.

Boys Hiking Trip

Dustin, the brave sole that he is, took our boys hiking to the river in Upper Park...all by himself! I wouldn't have believed it unless there were pictures. The kids did great and had a blast as you can tell. What a wonderful memory in a beautiful place.

Garden

Dustin is an avid gardener and always starts planning our plant selection in March. He orders the organic heirloom seeds online and starts them indoors. He even has them under a heat lamp for the first few weeks. After the threat of frost has past, he transfers them to our raised beds. This season we were blessed with a warm spring and this is what our garden looks like now....

 Complete with two cuties running around :) Life is good!

Rhonen started Preschool this summer at Loma Vista. Here is a picture from his first day. He loved his teachers and classmates.

Family Reunion 2012

This was the 30th Family Reunion for the Holley/Baker/August clan. We traveled again to Coram Ranch just below the Shasta Dam for Memorial Day weekend. This is just a perfect place to have family gather to enjoy eachother and the outdoors. The boys got to ride horses, play with their cousins, each lots of yummy food, and sing in the talent show. We did the "Slippery Fish" song with the boys and afterward Rhonen & Jackson decided to take over the microphone! We might have a couple of preformers on our hands :) It was a wonderful weekend!
