Rhonen is now 5 weeks old and I feel like I am starting to get the hang of being a mom. The sleep deprivation doesn't feel as severe as it used to. We are starting to get a routine going and I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make him smile. We took our first trip this week to my father's house boat. Rhonen slept through the ferry ride and through most of the night. Although we did get some good camera time in. Dustin barbecued dinner and we sat on the patio and watched the sunset over a glass of wine. Later we watched a movie and went to bed. It was a good test trip for us. I think Rhonen liked the rocking of the boat. If only I could simulate that at home...
I can't believe how quickly time goes by. I swear he has doubled in size and does something new each day. Being his mom is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever been able to do!
I am so happy for you guys and it truly only gets better. I see Drew and clearly remember his falling asleep on me and his first smile. I feel the sacrifices make life better. He looks like Dustin. He is really beautiful!
